Accessibility statement
Accessibility · 2026-10-07
The Heeby Gee Bees want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to browse this site, keep up with our shows and get in touch easily and with dignity. This statement describes the accessibility adjustments made on www.hbgbs.co.
Standard and conformance level
The site was built in line with Regulation 35 of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations 2013 and Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines. The site was also checked against the WCAG 2.2 level AA criteria.
What has been done
- Accessibility menu at the top of every page (the button with the accessibility symbol): high contrast, text enlargement up to 150%, stopping animations, underlined links and a stronger focus outline. Preferences are stored only in your own browser.
- Full keyboard navigation: a “skip to content” link, a logical tab order, a clearly visible focus indicator, menus and dialogs that close with Escape and return focus.
- Semantic structure: defined page regions (header, navigation, main content, footer), one main heading per page and a consistent heading hierarchy.
- Alternative text for every meaningful image; decorative images are marked as such.
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for interface components in the default theme, and at least 7:1 in the high-contrast theme.
- Accessible forms: a label linked to every field, required fields marked, error and success messages announced to screen readers.
- No autoplay: YouTube and SoundCloud players load only after a click.
- Mobile and zoom: the site works on narrow screens and at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Motion: the site honours the operating system’s “reduce motion” setting.
Accessibility at shows
We do not own the venues we play. When we know about accessibility arrangements at a venue they are noted on the show page. We recommend checking with the venue before you come, and we are happy to help.
Known limitations
- The video (YouTube) and audio (SoundCloud) players are external services and their accessibility depends on those providers. Every video has a direct link to YouTube.
- Ticket sites are external and outside our control.
